Our client is a leading supplier of analytical chemistry solutions and services to the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Environmental, Chemical, academic and related markets and they have an exciting opportunity for a scientist who is looking to get into scientific sales.
Based from the company’s corporate Head Office the successful candidate will be working with a team of Internal Account Managers and supporting Field Sales Representatives to continue the growth and development of the organisation through the sales of market leading products. You will be assigned a territory and in partnership with a Field Sales Rep you will be responsible for developing strong relationships with your existing clients to support the sales process. You will also be responsible for researching & networking within your territory to identify & target new business opportunities and grow market share.
Candidates will have an established scientific background (ideally to degree level or equivalent lab experience) and will ideally have some industrial or postgraduate laboratory experience. Candidates must have hands-on experience with chromatography (GC, HPLC, SPE etc..) and you will also have previous B2B sales, telemarketing or customer service experience or related transferable skills.
As this is a phone and email based position to a UK territory, candidates must be fluent in English with strong oral and verbal communication skills.
