Our client is an established name in bioprocess systems and instrumentation and are looking to recruit an experience scientist with a background in bioprocessing (upstream/downstream/fermentation) who is looking to transition into a more commercial role. Working with clients across the Midlands and Northern England, you’ll be responsible for consulting with existing clients and potential new customers to understand their bioprocess systems and provide solutions to their manufacturing challenges. Full product training will be provided.


Key duties will include (but not limited to):

Ÿ   Prospect for new business and promote the full range of products (instrumentation, peripherals and consumables)

Ÿ   Develop a local strategy for the territory in-line with corporate aims and approaches

Ÿ   Weekly client visits with new prospects and existing clients

Ÿ   Maintain a strong pipeline of leads, quotes, tenders and sales to consistently hit monthly sales targets and KPI’s

Ÿ   Effectively manage leads, quotes and tenders through the sales cycle

Ÿ   Work closely with in-house technical specialists, utilising their support to develop sales opportunities and deal with technical questions as appropriate

Ÿ   Be aware of current market trends and feedback to Product Development team potential innovations and opportunities

Ÿ   Attend industry exhibitions/events on behalf of the organisation

Ÿ   Full UK driving license and happy to travel across the territory (including some stays away from home)

Ÿ   Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
