Account Manager – Clinical diagnostics/IVD

Location: SW England & South Wales

Salary: £competitive salary plus car and bonus

Our client is a leading name within the clinical diagnostics market and they are looking to appoint an Account Manager to join the team and take responsibility for SE England & South Wales. Working for a well-established organisation with leading products, the successful applicant will take responsibility for the development of their territory. This will involve extensive networking with KOL’s and clinical professionals to support the sales process of leading clinical micro diagnostics, IVD’s and consumables/reagents.

Candidates should have a proven background working within a Biomedical Laboratory and will ideally have a strong knowledge of Clinical Microbiology and Biochemistry. A background in sales would be advantageous but is not essential providing you are able to demonstrate transferable skills appropriate for building strong commercial relationships with customers, developing new business, negotiating and closing sales. A willingness to travel extensively across the territory is essential with the requirement for occasional night’s way from home. The role is likely to involved 4 days per week travelling to customer sites with 1 day per week working from home. The role will require a mixture of maintaining and developing sales within existing customer base along with targeting new business opportunities.

This would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced Biomedical Scientist looking to take their first steps into a commercial scientific position; or an established Scientific Sales person looking to represent a world leading organisation.

Candidates will be based within the territory, will be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills. A full, clean driving license is essential.
