Are you an experienced field-based scientific salesperson who has a proven track record of selling molecular diagnostic products into the clinical and healthcare sector, who is looking to make the move into a large industry leading organisation with a highly respected product range? 


Our client is a world leader in the field of in vitro diagnostics who develop a range of molecular diagnostic products, instruments and reagents used to diagnose infectious diseases in the clinical & healthcare sectors. They are currently looking for a confident, ambitious individual with molecular diagnostics sales experience to join their team, who will be responsible for maximising sales for their product and service portfolio across the NHS and clinical sector. 


Working from home-based location, the successful candidate will take on a North-East territory (Newcastle, York, Leeds, Sheffield) and will lead the sales process directly with the customer, maintaining effective customer relationships through high levels of contact and effective territory management.  The account manager will be responsible for developing a sales strategy for the molecular diagnostic product range and will also be involved in the tender process and post-sale responsibilities.  


Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent in a life science subject and will have laboratory experience with a clear understanding of molecular techniques (preferably in a NHS/pathology laboratory setting). Candidates must have a proven track record of selling molecular diagnostic products, ideally into the NHS and clinical markets and will have strong presentation and negotiation skills and will be highly numerate, target driven with a real motivation to exceed sales targets whilst providing customers with a consultative and quality service.
