BioPharma Business Development 

Location: Remote/home office (c20% travel)

Salary: competitive basic 50% bonus and uncapped commission

Having invested heavily in R&D and manufacturing capabilities they are looking to further invest in a Business Development Manager to continue the growth of the organisation. Whilst this is primarily a new business focused role, you’ll be supported by a team who will provide lead generation activities and technical support to help develop valid opportunities through to close.

You’ll be working with a global customer base and will be conducting many initial meetings through video so the day to day travel would be limited to around 20% of your working time. You’ll get the opportunity to attend events, conferences and exhibitions as a delegate and exhibitor.

The selling point of this opportunity is the story behind the company’s success, you’ll be joining a small but passionate team who have gone on a journey of reinvention, investment and development to create a unique and highly innovative and capable team. They have a proven track-record of client development and nurturing of business to grow revenues and build business and are looking for an ambitious individual who shares their passion for delivering customer led solutions, nurturing win-win business relationships for the benefit of all stakeholders.

We would be excited to speak with applicants with the following skills and experiences:

  • Degree level (or higher) in a Life Science related background
  • Experience in a mainly New Business focused sales environment
  • Proven background to manage long sale cycles 
  • Track record selling in to the BioPharma/Biotech/Diagnostics sector
  • Ability to travel as required 
  • Strong relationship builder and able to nurture sales opportunities to grow revenues from individual accounts through add-on products and services
