Head of Business Development – Healthcare Services

Location:            Home based but with 1-day/wk in Head Office (Lancashire/Cumbria border)
Salary:               competitive plus 30% bonus

Our client is a multi-award winner and market leading provider of health & wellness services to the private health screening sector and offer patients a vital solution to a range of medial screening. They operate across the UK & Ireland as well as in many countries internationally and its an exciting time in their evolution as the expand internationally and launch new product and service offerings. The role of the Head of Sales will help shape the strategic direction and vision of the organisation; thereby developing existing revenue streams as well as building new market access points and routes to market. You will also take responsibility for managing a team of Sales and Business Development professionals (x6) within the UK and internationally; you will also take responsibility for key and strategic stakeholders along with supporting in the identification and development of new product/service offerings that could help complement the existing business structure and open up new markets. There may be occasional international travel required but this is likely to be 1-2 trips per year.


Job Description

·          Overall responsible for increasing sales across entire product portfolio and services

·          Suggesting, developing and managing new sales areas to the Board

·          Key Account Management

·          Support International Expansion and oversea the running of international business

·          Management of the Sales Team (3x UK & 3x overseas) and support their training and development

·          Maintain and improve the company growth rate through current and new income streams 

·          Suggest tech improvements and lead for the Business Development on technology roll outs 

·          Be a proactive member of the Senior Management Team


The ideal person will have:

·          A track record of delivering high growth by managing a team to deliver a business plan

·          Developing ideas into fully costed strategic plans for Director approval

·          People Development & training skills

·          Data Analysis skills with complex data

·          Experience of managing key accounts

·          Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally

·          Enthusiasm about new challenges

·          International Sales experience

·          Experience working within a healthcare or closely related discipline

·          Previous experience managing sales teams (internal/field based)
