Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company providing drug discovery solutions and is now currently recruiting for a pivotal role within the In Vitro Biology Team.  This opportunity will be located in their Oxfordshire site.


The role:

As the Group Leader for In Vitro Pharmacology you will be responsible for leading the  drive in establishing in vitro pharmacology platforms, workflows and driving scientific development for the improvement of assay performance.

You will be responsible for the recruitment and management of the team of pharmacologists as well as driving performance on drug discovery projects.


This is a senior level position and requires a individual with the drive and autonomy to deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic and progressive company. They will act as a representative for the company providing a high-standard of service to clients.


Suitable applicants:

·      Significant experience working within the Pharmaceutical industry, ideally within a CRO environment.

·      Able to demonstrate significant accomplishments in drug discovery project delivery

·      Experience across a range of disease/therapeutic areas

·      Extensive experience within in vitro pharmacology and drug discovery

·      Proven ability in defining project plans, management and measurable (timelines, costs, deliverables)

·      Previous management experience including recruitment of team members

·      Educated to PhD level within a relevant pharmacological discipline
