Key Account Manager, Clinical Research

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known, reputable life-science company who are world leaders in what they do. They manufacture and supply high quality instrumentation, reagents and consumables to world leading Life Science/Biotech and Clinical Research communities across the globe.

They are now looking for a Key Account Manager to focus on their clinical customers in France. This is a field based, customer facing position and will involve up to 60-80% travel (home office based when not travelling). The focus will be to develop Key and strategic customers although there will also be some new business activities involved. The successful candidate must be an experienced clinical/life science sales professional with a proven track record selling to customers in France. They must also have experience managing high value customers and will have a track-record growing sales within clients, ideally through the implementation of secure sales agreements for exclusive and sole supply. Previous experience with managed service offerings would be highly advantageous.

Role Key Objectives:

Take responsibility for meeting sales targets for the territory (through Key/Strategic Accounts and New Business)

Develop opportunities within specific accounts

Work with the wider account management and delivery team to protect existing accounts and identify opportunities to develop new sales/revenues

Ensure the prompt supply of quotes and tenders (both individually and through managing the tenders team)

Safe guard against competitor activity by being aware of pricing/product threats and work internally to deliver effective strategies to block out threats

Continually monitor customer satisfaction and ensure a high quality service (pre-sales and post-sales)

Job requirements

Previous field sales experience involving life science products

BSc, MSc OR PhD in a life science related subject

Hands-on experience working with CRO’s across the territory

Good understanding of clinical protocols and the Clinical Research phases

Full UK driver’s licence

Fluent in French (ideally mother tongue) plus business English
