Laboratory Technician

Location – Cambridge

Our client is an early stage drug development company based in Cambridgeshire. They currently have a position available for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join the company and support with routine laboratory duties including:

• Sample Processing through established protocols for registration, preparation, and shipping of compounds. Accurately weighing out and reconstituting compounds. Organisation of shipments to collaborators and CRO
• Ensuring laboratory has sufficient supplies, managing Goods In and preparing standard stock solutions
• Overseeing maintenance of laboratory equipment
• Waste management. Glass washing and autoclaving. Ensuring waste is appropriately collected and disposed in accordance with local procedures
• Assisting Health and Safety Manager with reviewing and writing risk assessments and other safety documentation

Applicants will ideally have:

• A- Levels, equivalent qualifications, or previous similar laboratory experience, is desirable
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities / circumstances
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• First Aid at Work qualification desirable or willingness to undertake training
