Our client is an award winning pioneer of instrumentation that support the development of novel applications for life science research. Their innovative products are setting a new standard in research; enabling more advanced analysis and speedier workflows. 

They are recruiting for an exciting new opportunity to join their team as a Sales Specialist to focus on selling to Academia, Pharma and biotech’s. This is a home office based role with frequent travel to customer sites and/or Head Office in Oxfordshire to demonstrate product capabilities.

This is mostly a new business sales opportunity and would suit an experience capital instrumentation sales professional with a track record selling into the Life Science Research communities across the UK. The successful candidate will be highly capable at identifying leads, developing opportunities and managing mid/long sales cycles to secure high value sales. They are looking for a strategic planner with a creative and innovative approach to developing and closing sales and would suit an individual with an entrepreneurial flair and a growth mind-set.

About you:

Applications are welcomed from candidates with: 

  • Life Sciences degree (PhD is beneficial)
  • Proven experience in capital instrument sales 
  • Track record winning new business sales within the UK
  • Knowledge of and experience with winning business within Pharma/Biotech
  • Tender writing experience
  • Hands on experience with life science imaging and microscopy research techniques
  • Capabilities to manage a large territory and fuel a pipeline to deliver consistent sales month on month
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • A winning attitude; determined, resilient and commercial astute
  • Valid Driver's license 
  • A natural collaborator with strong team skills
