Liquid Handling Automation Specialist

The role:

Our client is leading Biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire who are now seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to work with Liquid Handling automation platforms within their Development R&D.

As an Automation Specialist you will be responsible for developing, testing and validation of new methods for liquid handling robots. You will be required to maintain and troubleshoot the liquid handling equipment and improve efficiency through performance monitoring and elimination of down-time.

You will work closely with internal teams to support high throughput workflows, deliver training when needed and maintain documentation for automated platforms.

Experience expectations:

Suitable applicants will be expected to have:

·         Extensive experience working with Liquid Handling robots - Hamilton STAR, Biomek FX, Agilent Bravo, Labcyte Echo.

·         Experience developing and validating new automation methods

·         Able to troubleshoot and experience with equipment maintenance.  

·         Knowledge of automation software or computer networking would be beneficial

·         BSc in a relevant Scientific background (or with equivalent industry experience)

·         Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
