Project Manager/Implementation Specialist – Surgical/Endoscopy

Location: South Wales

Instrumentation: Surgical & Endoscopy

Salary: £negotiable dependant of skills and experience

Our client is a growing business focused on Laboratory & Clinical Instrumentation for the Medical & Healthcare sector. They are looking to expand their team at their offices in South Wales by creating a new position for a Project Manager/Implementation Specialist to support their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and market leader in its field and would suit a Healthcare Professional or Scientist with customer/sales experience along with a knowledge of endoscopy and/or surgical instruments.

As a Project Manager/Implementation Specialist you will take responsibility for supporting the implementation and set up of a number of new contracts within the nhs. This will include taking enquires from customers, suppliers and internal colleagues relating to all aspects of instrument supply, set-up, installation and service/support. The product range is broad, focusing on endoscopy, Medical devices and surgical instruments so the Project Manager/Implementation Specialist will have a background knowledge with this type of kit. This role will be responsible for providing a highly efficient and customer focused approach to all enquiries and will involve extensive liaising with customers, sales and third party service organisations over the phone and via email. You will be able to work well in a team but also act independently to resolve issues. The main requirements of the position will include:

Deal with all customer enquiries and ensure appropriate and timely communication and response via telephone, email or face to face.

Project Management and Contract Implementation

Provide basic troubleshooting on products and liaise with third party organisations to provide any advice and guidance required by the customer. 

Work with distributors and to solve customer problems

Liaise with sales teams to ensure the customer is kept informed throughout the process 

General requirements:

This is an office based position but will require travel to customers throughout the UK (but mainly South UK initially). Applications are welcome from degree qualified (or equivalent experience) within a Biomedical/Medical or Nursing discipline (or similar). A Project management (Prince II ideally) experience and project management/project implementation experience would be highly advantageous. You will be fluent in English with excellent communication skills (written and oral). A driving license would be highly advantageous.
