QC Analytical Chemist

My client is a leading provider of speciality chemicals, they are now looking to bring on board a QC Analytical Chemist to join the company on a permanent basis.

 

The Role:

As a QC Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for provide support to the Quality Control team performing GC analysis and wet chemistry for raw materials and final products. Working within an environment compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice and ISO 9001 standards, you will be expected to complete compliance documentation and comply with laboratory operating protocols. Some equipment maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment may be required as needed.

Working within a small analytical team this role requires an individual who is comfortable with managing their own work flow and working autonomously when required.

This role will involve a flexible approach to working hours, supporting shifts which include 7:00-15:00, 8:30-17:00 & 11:00-19:00. Weekly hours will be 37.5.

 

Suitable applicants will have:

·         Experience working in an analytical role within industry, ideally within speciality chemicals or personal care products.

·         Strong technical knowledge and experience with GC and wet chemistry techniques (e.g. viscosity, density, flash point, titrations)

·         Ideally educated to degree level in Chemistry (or with equivalent industry experience)

·         Experience with non-routine analysis

·         Experience working in a GMP or ISO 9001 accredited laboratory is preferred.

·         Experience with method validation and analytical equipment maintenance would be beneficial.
