Our client is a global giant with a well earnt reputation for providing leading instrumentation into the Biotechnology sector. They work with organisations all the way through the discovery, development and manufacturing chain and supply high-value instrumentation for research, processing and final product manufacturing.

The organization has invested heavily in its research portfolio and are recruiting a Regional Business Manager to help promote the technology across the EMEA territory. Their instruments (and complementary reagent) provide researchers with faster, more accurate and more efficient ways to identify and map cell assays.

The Regional Business Manager will take the lead in delivering the global sales strategy for the EMEA. This will be achieved through building strong customer relationships via effective sales and marketing initiatives to identify sales and revenue building opportunities across the entire portfolio of products (instruments, reagents, consumables and informatics). Whilst building new and capitalizing on existing revenue streams; the Regional Business Manager will also play a pivotal role keeping the organization at the forefront of market developments by feeding back new product initiatives and existing product innovations to the Product Development team. This is a highly strategic role and would suit an experienced, ambitious and highly technical individual with a background in consultative sales, product management or similar.

The Regional Business Manager will take direct responsibility for the entire bioanalysis product portfolio, making sure their regional Sales and Marketing teams are well trained in all aspects of the technology and capabilities of the kit. They will lead Business Development initiatives, networking with KOL’s in the industry and presenting at key exhibitions and conferences. They will own the regional sales and marketing plan, driving initiatives with Sales, Marketing and customers; whilst keeping abreast of competitor activity to maintain a market leading position within the industry. They will act as a Product Champion and Expert internally and with clients to support key and strategical client development.

As such, the organization are looking for a very high calibre of individual. They are looking for a PhD (or MS with extensive research experience) within a cellular based discipline and an individual who has several years’ proven experience in Product Management or Business Development within the Cell Biology sector. Being a natural leader, the successful candidate with be highly professional, with a strong business acumen and excellent communication skills with personnel at all levels of hierarchy within an organization. They will have a strategic focus and will be to articular the vision and priority of the organization to their supporting teams. An EU driving license will be essential for the role along with an appetite to travel extensively across the territory.

Above all, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the ambition to achieve significant success in an ever evolving and rapidly innovating sector.
