Location: Home & office based (2-3 days per week in the Greater London office)

Our client is an innovative and growing organisation with a global office network and worldwide reputation for the manufacturer and supply of high quality, robust research tools to the Life Science Researchers. They are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to take responsibility for all aspect of sales, client development & team/customer support.


This is an extremely exciting opportunity to a highly successful organisation and one of the longest established names within their sector. The successful candidate will have huge opportunity to contribute to the continued growth and success of the organisation; working within & leading, a high performing team, the appointed candidate will take responsibility for:


  • Growing sales of complete product portfolio in-line with company expectations
  • Take ownership for the development of Key & Strategic accounts
  • Customer relationships management
  • Manage a team of field and office based Account Managers & Sales Support (x8 reports)
  • Work with Account Managers to deliver a high quality service to all customers
  • Identify industry market opportunities within the Pharma/Biotech sector and grow
  • Own the marketing plan for the territory and ensure all departments deliver on the plan
  • Exceed revenue and profitability targets within the agreed budget
  • Feedback to relevant departments to maximise on opportunities to grow and develop and take advantage of market opportunities

This is a field & office based position with direct responsibility for a handful of strategic accounts (in SE & London) so the successful candidate must live within this area. A full UK driving license is essential. Other requirements include:


  • Degree qualified in a relevant scientific discipline (Biology, Biochemistry or Immunology)
  • Excellent understanding of Life Science Research market
  • Proven sales team management experience selling into the Life Science Research industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and a confident presenter
  • A mentor and coach
  • Fluent in English
  • Attention to detail and good record keeping
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Able to travel frequently
  • Excellent numerical skill
