Our client is a market leading manufacturer or a broad range of instrumentation to the laboratory and process manufacturing sectors. They have built a worldwide reputation for a very high level of quality for their instruments as well as their service support. They supply to many global brands, Industry leaders and SME's within Research, Manufacturing and Academia and sell globally to the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Chemical, F&B, utilities and associated markets.
They are currently looking to strengthen their sales team in the North West territory and are recruiting a Sales Specialist with experience of Instrumentation Sales or Scientific Sales. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with a strong background in lab or Analytical Chemistry or Materials Characterisation Instrumentation, They will also have a background in scientific or technical sales and ideally a good working knowledge of the accounts and key contacts on the territory. This is a field Sales position and the successful candidate will spend 3-4 days per week visiting customers on the territory with the remainder working from home to plan, provide sales quotes and maintain the CRM. The successful candidate will be outgoing and target/sales focused and will have a passion for providing consultative solutions and delivering a high quality of service. Sales cycles are likely to be fairly long so the successful candidate must have a supportive and customer orientated approach to nurturing and developing sales and a patient nature. You will be representing a global brand and will be promoting a leading range of instrumentation for a range of scientific applications.
Candidates will be degree qualified (or with equivalent bench experience) in relevant science discipline (Chemistry, Life Science, Engineering etc...). You will ideally have previous sales experience and will be able to demonstrate success through winning and development business. A background in chemistry, polymers and/or materials characterisation would be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will have a track record of developing new business opportunities as well as expanding sales within existing accounts.
You must have a full driving license and be either located on or happy to relocate to the territory.
