Our client is a global market leader and manufacturer of instrumentation and automation products for the Life Science sector. Working with organisation across the sector, the company develop and sell cutting edge applications within Genomics/Proteomics, Genetics, Drug Discovery and associated disciplines and have built a reputation in leading the field within their sector. They are looking to develop their UK Sales Team by recruiting a Territory Manager for the North UK. Working from a home office and reporting to the country manager, the successful candidate will have an amazing opportunity to significantly develop sales within their region. The organisation are looking for an ambitious, tenacious and hungry sales person with a strong academic life science background to show-off the enviable product range the company is proud to have developed.

This role would suit a qualified and experienced Life Scientist with at least a degree (or higher preferably) in a relevant Life Science discipline. Applicants must have a background in Scientific Sales, ideally selling in to the academic and research communities across the region, along with associated pharma, biotech and clinical organisations. The successful individual will be able to demonstrate a passion for sales and generating new business. They will embrace cold calling and lead generation work to identify potential opportunities and through regular customer visits will nurture these leads and develop into commercial sales opportunities. Due to the nature of high value capital sales, the successful candidate  must be able to build a large pipeline of potential opportunities and must also be able to demonstrate consultative and supportive sales skills to progress opportunities to their full potential. The company are looking for a candidate who is ambitious and hard-working who sees the benefit of networking, lead generation and appointment making in order to build their opportunities portfolio and is able to close high-value deals. A full UK driving license is essential and applicants must be fluent in English (oral and written).
