Organic Analyst – GCMS

The role:

Our client is a leading Contract testing and analysis company based in the East Midlands. An opportunity has become available for an experienced Organic Analyst to join the Environmental team and support with samples analysis and service delivery.

Responsibilities include:

·       Performing analytical services using GCMS, providing accurate and precise data

·       Adhere to internal quality standards and SOP’s (GLP, UKAS, ISO17025)

·       Effective tracking of laboratory practices using LIMS and the internal QMS

·       Support with equipment maintenance including performance checks and reporting abnormalities.

Experience expectations:

The successful applicant will ideally have;

·       Previous industry experience performing analysis using GC-MS

·       Able to troubleshoot and maintain GC-MS equipment

·       Experience working to industry quality standards (UKAS accreditation, Good Laboratory Practices and/or ISO 17025)

·       Ideally educated to A-level or above in a Chemistry discipline

·       Familiarity working with LIMS

·       Good written and verbal communication skills

In return, my client offers a permanent role with an annual salary of c£22,000 dependent upon experience
