Part-Time Laboratory Administrator/Receptionist

 

Location – Shepherd’s Bush

 

Hours per week – Monday-Thursday 7:30-14:30, Friday 9:30-12:30

 

Salary – £18,000-£20,000 (Pro rata based on c31 hours per week)

 

Our client is a leading research service provider who cover a range of services within pharmaceuticals, drug discovery and clinical trials. A large part of their research necessitates the use of blood and various other biofluids, given by donors, to complete a plethora of disease research with the aim of treating disease and helping with early diagnosis.

 

An opportunity has now become available for a part-time Laboratory Administrator/Receptionist to join the company for approximately 31 hours per week across Monday to Friday.

 

Due to the training involved in this position, the role would be suitable for an individual who is actively looking for part-time hours, where the expected hours work alongside other commitments.

 

The Role:

As a Laboratory Administrator/Receptionist you will be responsible for the following duties:

 

  • Managing appointment schedule for donors and scheduling appointments
  • Chaperoning donors through secured areas from Reception to donor facility. 
  • Escorting donors back down after appointment. 
  • Providing donors with all required forms
  • Assist donors with any study/donation related queries and questions. 
  • Communicate updates from the recruitment team regarding donor appointments. 
  • Updating recruitment team with donor feedback; discrepancies in the donor scheduled list vs actual bookings and arrivals. 
  • Updating team leaders of any last-minute changes to the donor list
  • Ad-hoc donor data recording

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Suitable applicants:

Applicants will ideally have prior experience working within an Administration, ideally within a Biomedical or Hospital setting. In addition, applicants will have experience of the following:

 

  • Experience with reception responsibilities or customer facing setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail in completing administrative functions.
  • Good organisation skills and IT literacy
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Able to undertake a manually active role.

 

 

 

 

 

In return, my client offers a permanent role with an annual salary of £18,000-£20,000 which has been prorated based on c31 hours per week.
