Performance & Impact Evaluation Analyst

Location:              North West England (hybrid options available)

Duration:               12 month FTC

Salary:                   Dependant on experience

 

A leading name with the Drug Discovery sector is seeking recruit a Performance & Impact Evaluation Analyst to joining their organisation to assist with the development and implementation of an evaluation framework. The organisation works on public/privately funded research studies all designed to improve human health and accelerate drug discovery and development for the benefit of us all. This position will take the lead role in the development of an evaluation framework that enables stakeholders to analyse its performance to identify successes, gaps, opportunities and developments.

 

This is a unique role and the essential skills required is solid, hands-on experience with impact evaluation; to include counterfactual assessment and analysis. The successful candidate will use this experience to continue the development of the evaluation framework and support its implementation across the business. Previous experience in a similar role would be extremely useful so as to advise and guide the organisation into potential pitfalls and alternative approaches.

 

An overview of the key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Refine and develop performance and impact evaluation methods
  • Ensuring evidence of key assessment criteria is gathered in accordance with framework parameters
  • Building dashboards and reports
  • Identify and develop optimisation criteria within the framework for continued evaluation development
  • Work with stakeholders to continually analyse and framework evaluation
  • Support with data-informed operational and strategic management

 

This will be achieved through:

 

  • Ensuring data requirements for monitoring, evaluation and management purposes are defined and communicated
  • Work with the broader operation team to ensure full data is being resourced and analysed
  • Utilise external data to improve evaluation
  • Provide regular data and project reports to SLT

 

The requirements of this role will include:

 

  • Degree qualified, ideally in a Life Science or related discipline or a Business/Data degree but with experience working within a Scientific/Medical/Clinical related subject area is preferred
  • PhD would be advantageous but not essential
  • A thorough understanding of impact evaluation
  • Excellent data analytical skills
  • Good knowledge of PowerBI and excel
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Good relationship management skills with experience of working within cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders
  • A natural problem solver with strong communication skills
