Contract – Full time, initial 12 month fixed-term contract

 

We're partnering with an international business specialising in the creation of bespoke fragrance solutions for global consumer brands. Combining creativity with scientific expertise, the team develops distinctive fragrances that shape products across personal care, home care and fine fragrance.

On an initial 12 month fixed-term contract, our client are hiring for a Chemical Compounder to join their fragrance teams. This would be an ideal position for someone who has prior experience as a Compounder, or who has a level 3 (BTEC / A-Level) Chemistry qualification who is interested in this field.

 

The Role

This is a role for individuals who have an interest in working within a chemical compounding laboratory who have a chemistry related level 3 qualification. This is not well suited to recent graduates. As Chemical Compounder, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Weighing and blending of raw materials to make fine fragrance blends, according to set instructions (SOPs).
  • Following batch sheets and compounding instructions.
  • Report deviations in quality.
  • Restocking raw materials and consumables, supporting inventory control and stock rotation.

 

Skills and Experience Needed

Suitable Applicants will have:

 

  • A level 3 chemistry qualification (BTEC / A-level or equivalent) (essential).
  • An interest in working with chemicals (essential).
  • An interest in the fine fragrance sector (strongly desired).
  • Prior chemical compounding experience (desired).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, compounding laboratory (essential).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and individually (essential).
  • Strong communication skills (essential).
  • Indefinite right to work in the UK, without the need for visa sponsorship now, or in the future (essential).
